Black.
Astra is always good.
Lacoste cotton, smooth like butter. Mmm.
Four stiff rows, and a wee one. Nice.
Hand-roll the hem. Think Labor of Love.
*Yawn*

And to think I was griping and grousing over ever getting started and getting things right.
Do what you can at given present. Be here. You only have one task to do right now. Just that one.
Yes.

Mooncup: a Review

Wednesday, September 22, 2010 Jonette 2 Comments

Hi everyone! Welcome to the blog's first ever product review! (Yay!) this post will be about my experiences and  observations with the Mooncup. The post will also talk about some aspects about my period experience, but I'll do my best to not make it gross. (I promise!) I won't try to sell you anything, and if reviews aren't your thing, that's okay too. Feel free to scroll down and enjoy the other blog posts, or the links on the right. It's all good fun here. ^_^

On with the review!

The Mooncup is a medical-grade silicone menstrual cup designed for women of all shapes, sizes, and walks of life. It's packed in a box made of recycled carton, and comes with a mini-manual made of non-bleached paper and a cotton carrying case. there are two available sizes -- Cup A is best for ladies who have given birth or are above 30, and size B for ladies under 30, have not given birth, or have given birth via C-section.

My friend AJ had been talking to me about the benefits of using the Mooncup -- it's eco-friendly, non-messy, and feels barely-there when worn. These were really great features of the product, but I wanted to see how it would be good for me.

The personal petticoat (Fin)

It has been a long, tiring day. James and I woke rather early at 8:00am to have breakfast, play a few rounds on the Playstation 2, prep and step out for pre-shift lunch. It's Monday afternoons like this I wish would stretch into infinity. Just a few more minutes with him make things blissful.

I don't usually photograph myself in a state of undress, but it felt right.

Metro ComiCon! Part II (8-22-10)

Monday, September 20, 2010 Jonette 0 Comments

We left the hall to have yummy lunch at Karate Kid. (Bottomless punch and takoyaki. Mmm.) As we went back to the event hall, James and I were discussing how cool it would be if we got to see cosplayers do our favorite-albeit-slightly-obscure anime. Well, like Fairy Tail.

One look at this group and I went, "hey, that's familia--- ohmygod."

Our wish came true! Holy smokes! Talk about serendipity. :D

My mind goes back to my memories of the Metro ComiCon, and my heart just goes BOOM. So many wonderful wares, wonderful art, wonderful stories, wonderful people. Just makes my heart melt.

To my  pinoy-culture-savvy readers, you might have guessed I took the title from this infamous video parody. You are absolutely right.)

Hello, everyone. I'm writing this from home right now because I've been home all day -- and will be home for the next two or four as well.
